Celsius Shipping was founded in 2012 and is a full-service ship owning company. The company has its offices in Copenhagen, Monaco, South Korea and Hong Kong.
Celsius Shipping has been one of the most active ship-owners in recent years and has built a strong presence within the major shipping segments. Currently, Celsius’ has a diversified fleet of 37 vessels within chemical and product tankers, container feeder vessels and LNG carriers. In addition there is a series of 8 LNG newbuildings on order.
As an integral part of the technical department, you will work closely with the rest of the team to perform technical oversight and supervision of Celsius’ third-party technical managers. Further to that, you will be involved in the development of new projects together with the Sale and Purchase and Business Development departments. The successful candidate will get the opportunity to work with some of the latest technologies especially within the LNG segment. Energy optimization is factored into all aspects, ensuring that our newbuildings as well as our sailing fleet are operated in the most optimal way.

The Position:
- Handling of newbuilding projects, from drawing board to delivery.
- Oversee the management and technical support of vessels technically handled by 3rd party managers.
- Budget supervision of both CAPEX and OPEX.
- Juggling several issues and projects at the same time.
- Performance optimization of the fleet.
- Attend drydocking of vessels. Participation in due diligence processes around transactions.
The Profile:
- Marine Engineer or Naval Architect, with excellent results.
- Experience from involvement in newbuilding projects, preferably in different segments.
- Preferably experience as superintendent in an owners’ technical department.
- At least 3 years’ experience from a similar role.
- Agile mindset, able to quickly change priorities.
- A good team player capable of making decisions.
- Native proficiency in Scandinavian language and strong verbal and written communication skills (English).
